Accommodating Schedules

McKamey Animal Center is taking seriously the global threat of the Coronavirus.  We are developing a plan to help our staff members who may need to take time off in order to handle child care or possible family exposures.  We will be extremely flexible with those staff members who need to be out during this time.  All supervisors are working hard to accommodate odd schedules so that staff does not lose income.  We are asking all staff to be flexible with their schedule to help accommodate co-workers that may need a schedule change due to child care or health needs. We are working hard to ensure your safety and if anyone has scheduling issues due to the COVID-19, please contact your supervisors ASAP. We want to work with you. It is critical that employees do not report to work while they are experiencing respiratory symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, headache, chills or fatigue. Currently, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that employees remain at home until at least 24 hours after they are free of fever (100 degrees F or 37.8 degrees C) or signs of a fever without the use of fever-reducing medications. Many times, with the best of intentions, employees report to work even though they feel ill. Employees who report to work ill will be sent home in accordance with these health guidelines.
